I want to play with some brake fluid to try and imitate what happened. In my experience, if it was a decay stage fire that used up all of the oxygen, there would be a bunch more carbon and smoke dust on everything in the garage. As for the tire blowing out, I have seen it in car fires numerous times and the fire keeps on burning. The noise just scares you. I think that the brake fluid may have put the fire out. Normally the fire would continue buring to the high point of the fuel, and neither wheel did it. Glad that the damage was limited.

Mark

P.S. I am supposed to ask if the girly posters were damaged.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501437224497800843.post-63188409869174425342010-01-31T21:10:21.336-08:002010-01-31T21:10:21.336-08:00Wow - that is freaky.Wow - that is freaky.Dan Ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15609122101907983132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501437224497800843.post-22794857823020543852010-01-31T11:56:52.356-08:002010-01-31T11:56:52.356-08:00O2 starvation may explain it, but then it's lu...O2 starvation may explain it, but then it's lucky the fire went out completely and didn't explode when you opened the door.

Could have been much worse.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501437224497800843.post-1584836156891478212010-01-31T11:37:45.912-08:002010-01-31T11:37:45.912-08:00I think maybe the fire used up all the oxygen in t...I think maybe the fire used up all the oxygen in the room and went out by itself?glen c.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08284605758017057294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501437224497800843.post-20153568009618538192010-01-31T11:24:55.611-08:002010-01-31T11:24:55.611-08:00I can't imagine how the fire did not spread.I can't imagine how the fire did not spread.Traditional Bike Club Curmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15686473479441209354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501437224497800843.post-87814800629577808942010-01-31T10:58:46.382-08:002010-01-31T10:58:46.382-08:00Lucky is not the word.
