Did you mount the Cyo directly to your fender? If so, how is it working out? I'm finally building a bike without a front rack, and I was mulling over options for mounting a generator front light.
Oh, and to answer your first question: it works great. I had the extra stay on the honjo anyway so the light was a relatively easy add. I ran into the same issue -- many of my lighted bikes have front racks, whcih makes lights and fender securing pretty easy. The front stay on the long-ass Honjo was a break-through for me. I highly recommend it.
Today this picture isn't as awesome as it was yesterday. In fact, about 20 minutes after I posted it, I started to think, that's actually a pretty boring picture. But it's clear and I took it by mistake, so that kind of makes it rad. The fact is, <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CGYQGxEMolw/S-8LHmkGf9I/AAAAAAAAJeg/OGge5wNGCQU/s1600/P1000423.JPG>this picture</a> is my masterpiece. But maybe it's just average and the circumstances under which it was taken has elevated it to masterpiece status in my mind. Whatever. Today I will take many pictures and post the best one.

You're awful hard on bar tape. :)
ReplyDeleteObviously your water bottle is mounted 0.1 millimeters off center. Fix that and climbing up the South Hill will become easy. :)
ReplyDeleteThis picture seemed so odd to me. Then I figured it out: it looks like you have no front wheel from that angle.

damn. I always forget the closing quotes. Let's try that again:
ReplyDeleteThe fact is, this picture is my masterpiece.
Thanks, John! The setup sounds great. I've always liked the idea of that front and center position. And it figures JimG would beat me to the punch!
