  1. What is the cost for powder coating vs. painting for frames and racks?

  2. Rory: thanks.

Mark: I think it's about $15/rack for powder coating. That's the super deal place where Pat brings the racks and they don't do any sandblasting/cleaning...

For wet paint, I really don't know. Since I'm a big old powder coating fan, I've never looked into the wet cost.

For ultra cheap, a guy could just spray with rustoleum for about $8 or so?

  4. @John Speare, me too, I prefer powder coating. Aside from its attractive finish, it also helps improves the durability of the product, since the powder used for coating is a mixture of thinly ground specks of pigment and resin. The charged powder particles stick onto the electrically ground surface until heated and fused into a smooth, protective coating. And that process makes the material much tougher.
