These steel wheels were arranged carefully and have rusted to a deep orange over time. They marked the entry to someone's property.
The next bit of junk we found was junk in the traditional sense of the word: abondoned and forgotten, fulfilling no purpose. Both piles looked lovely in the February sun.
Preference?

I myself prefer the rusted wheel gate.

One vote each: composition for the upper, intentionality of the artist for the lower...
Great pix. Big wheels keep on turning. Until they don't.
Are both locations on Elder?
I like the abandoned piles look. I am from Elk and we had a lot of art installations like this in our community.
it's february. shouldnt there be more snow?
hard to choose, the intentional and random varying states of decay are intriguing but I have to go with the intentional cause the other is just crap ;) I do love the green truck though...
Nice. I'm a sucker for junk piles, and these are some good ones!
Hard to say ... ultimately, I agree with Pax. But it'd be perfect if the barns/trucks had the metal wheels in front of them, instead of the tires.
