Maddie and I drove up White Rd on Saturday morning and it seems much longer, strangely, from a car-driver perspective. As I drove up it, I was thinking, "I can't believe I ride my friggin bike up this ruthless hill..."
That said, when climbing it on a bike, it still sucks. And hurts. And seems overly long.

When climbing White Road, the important thing is to not look up the hill any farther than you have to... that just encourages it ;)
I went up White Road today myself, making it the first climb on the itinerary so I couldn't wimp out and skip it.
Excellent method -- on both accounts.

Props for applying the proper tag to this post. Watched it all the way up the hill.
Tom, was that you doing laps in the Greenwood/Gov't Way neighborhood this afternoon?
Pat, yeah, I was doing a variety pack of hill climbs, finishing up with Greenwood and then Indian Canyon Road:

My legs weren't great today but at least I wasn't backsliding entirely. I see you got out today too, excellent :)
