Like we need a reason

Until today, Maddie didn't have a bike for the pump track.

Thanks to Craigslist, now she does. And so does any other kid that shows up at Pat's. This bike will primarily live at Pat and Patti's to serve as the official kid pump tracker.

It's silly light. It's an Intense Mini XL, which is an American-made, aluminum BMX race bike. Way too much bike for what we need here.

I hope it gets a ton of use.

Maddie was a bit afraid of it at first. So we brought the saddle up and rode up and down the block a few times. She got the hang of it and is looking forward to trying out the pump track when it dries out a bit.

Maddie is pure style in that first picture between the helmet, top, and bike pattern combo! Can't wait to hear how she does on the pump track once we get some rays again.

you can never have too much bike. besides, that bike doesn't even tote Sapim CX-ray spokes.

Hi there would you mind telling me how tall Maddie is?
I am considering buying one of these for my 5 1/2 year old daughter, but wondering if this is too big, & look for something mini instead.

Hi BP -- I think Maddie was about 4.5 feet tall here. If you're local, you can come by and have your daughter give it a shot. contact me at john at phred dot org.

Thanks for the helpful info and offer John.
I'm 4732 miles away, so not very local.
